On Saturday the Madison Excavating Minor Bantam A Hawks hosted the Northumberland Nighthawks and dominated the game with a 9-0 win. During the first period, the pucks few into the net one after another putting the Hawks ahead by 5. It all started early, within 18sec Jakob Gardner popped one in assisted by Ethan Osborne. Not long after that, Daniel McLeod-Lockwood found the net assisted by Vince Bellavance. Osborne found the net assisted by Garder and Geoffrey Boates. This past weekend, the Minor Bantam A Hawks entered the Minor Bantam AA Belleville Shriner’s Charity Tournament. Friday the Hawks started off strong playing the local Belleville Jr Bulls where they marked a win of 5-0. Later in the day they faced the Ottawa Valley Silver Seven where they lost 6-0. That did not get them down as they returned to the ice on Saturday morning with fire and determination as they faced Upper Ottawa Valley Aces. This was a fast paced game as the scoring by both teams continued to climb. The Hawks showed their grit and sealed a win of 5-4 moving the team on the semi-finals on Sunday morning.  Read More
