Impressive Weekend Performance for the U14 Golden Hawks
The U14 Nomad Quinte West Golden Hawks end the weekend with a 4-0-0 record.

The team continues with their winning streak this weekend after they faced the Oshawa Generals and North Durham Warriors in game action.

Saturday the U14 Nomad Golden Hawks would host their home opener in front of their hometown fans.  Cohen Heales opened up the scoring for the Hawks and Oshawa would quickly tie it up to end the first.

Keegan Goulah would land one in the second and the team would try anything in their power to increase the score.  The Generals goalie would keep the team at bay and make the Hawks dig deep to find another gear.  Oshawa would also tie it up in the second to keep fans on the edge of their seats.
  
It wasn't until the final 14 seconds in the game, that Captain Malcolm Brooks would bury the puck, to seal the win for the Golden Hawks.  Hawks win 3 - 2. Assists go to Joey Nieman, Rhys Lawrence, Antonio Popiel and Heales.  Owen Curran with the win in net.

Sunday the team would dominate the North Durham Warriors.  Although the Hawks wouldn't be the first to score they would still come away with the 13 - 3 victory.  Nico Toussaint earns the win in net.  Scoring for the Nomad Golden Hawks would be Elijah MacDonald, Malcolm Brooks (2), Cohen Heales (2), Joey Nieman, Keegan Goulah, Cam Slone (2), Malachi Hoornweg (2), Andrew Gilson and Hunter Bradbury.  Assists go to Slone, Hoornweg (2), Nieman (2), Goulah (2), Bradbury (2) Brooks (2), MacDonald, Antonio Popiel, Logan Fonger and Fynn Ralph.  

The team has a busy weekend ahead with a game against Clarington on Friday at the Duncan MacDonald Memorial arena at 7pm.  Sat they travel to take on the Northumberland Nighthawks.  Sunday they face the Ajax/Pickering Raiders at the Duncan MacDonald arena.  Game time is at 1:30.  Come cheers on the team Friday and Sunday.
