Quinte West Minor Hockey will host their Annual Meeting on Thursday May 9th at 6:00pm. The meeting will take place upstairs at the Duncan McDonald Arena in Trenton.
All members are welcome to attend.
The Annual Meeting is a meeting to discuss the business of QWMHA for the 2023-2024 season. Members in attendance can expect to follow Robert's Rules of Order. Some examples include;
- a member may only speak when given permission from the chair of the meeting
- a member may speak to a motion one time only and must identify if they are in support of the motion or against the motion
- a member may not speak over someone else. If they do, they will be warned that they are out of order
- if a member becomes unruly, they will be warned to cease. If they are are still unruly the meeting will be recessed and the member will be asked to leave. The meeting will not resume until order is restored.
The Annual meeting is a great way for members to learn more about our organization and can be an opportunity to become involved.
Members may submit constitutional changes to be considered at the Annual Meeting by email using the
Notice of Motion Form. All notice of motion forms must be submitted electronically to
[email protected] by the close of business May 3, 2024
All notice of motions will be made public by Monday May 6, 2024.
Please note this year, the by-laws and constitution will be updated to comply with the new Ontario Not for Profit Corportation Act. This must be filed by October 2024.
