The U14 Nomads Winning Streak Continues
The U14 Nomads continue their winning streak as they face their competition in the Lakeshore finals.

The Hawks hit the road to take on the Oshawa Generals on Saturday and they ended the game with a 3-2 win.  Riley Kavanagh would hit the twine in the second which was assisted by Malcolm Brooks and Malachi Hoornweg.  Cohen Heales would find the back of the net with a pass from Joey Nieman.  The Generals wouldn't let up and tied it up shortly after.  Brooks ended up with the game winning goal unassisted to take the lead and the win. The Generals put on the pressure pulling their goalie as the Hawks got themselves into some penalty trouble but Nico Toussaint was steady between the pipes and they held onto their lead.

On Sunday the Hawks put on a performance in front of a buzzing hometown crowd. The vibe was electric and the team did not disappoint.  Cohen Heales and line mates Cam Slone and Joey Nieman were a force to be reckoned with.  Heales earned himself a hat trick including an empty netter and an assist.  Joey Nieman had the third goal of the game and one assist.  Slone assisted on 3 of the goals.  Rhys Lawrence and Malachi Hoornweg chipped in with assists.  Whitby Blue would try to capitalize on the Hawks penalties late in the third but Nico Toussaint would make some timely saves and the Hawks won with a score of 4 to 1.

The U14 Nomads are on deck to host the Clarington Toros on Saturday March 25th at 2:45 pm.  Come on out and support the team in their last home game of the season in their barn. Let's pack the Dunc!
