U10 Hawks Sweep the Week
On Tuesday December 7, the U10A Hawks hosted Whitby Wildcats blue on home ice for an evening game with a big 15-1 win. Bryce Lawrence was protecting the team between the pipes and only let one goal sneak past.

It was a hard fought first period that saw the Hawks coming out with a 3-0 lead over Whitby. Goals in the first period were scored by Griffin Van Gemeren, Karson Hamilton and Josh Korver. Assists in the first period went to Alex Dolton and Levi Mallory.

In the second period the Hawks were able to score two more goals to secure their lead with 5-0 on the scoreboard. Goals in the second period were scored by Alex Dolton and Nikolai Caron. Assists went to Ben Villeneuve and Nico Leone.

The Hawks entered the third period with one goal; to keep their lead and win the game! In the third period the Hawks put the puck in the net ten more times, securing a 15-1 win over Whitby.

Goals in the third period were scored by Tye McMurter(3), Griffin Van Gemeren(2), Josh Korver(2), Kohen Couperus, Ben Villeneuve and Noah Carre-Stewart. 

Assists in the third period were made by Body Bucholtz (5), Ben Villeneuve(2), Roy Finch, Alex Dolton and Nikolai Caron. 

Griffin Van Gemeren, Josh Korver and Tye McMurter worked hard to celebrate hat tricks on Tuesday night. 



On Saturday December 11, the U10A Hawks hosted the Peterborough Petes, winning the game 8-3.

Preston Martin took home the win in net making some great saves.

The Hawks only scored one goal in the first period, securing their lead 1-0. Goal was scored by Josh Korver, assisted by Noah Carre-Stewart. 

The second period saw some more pucks in the net, with 5 more goals for the Hawks and 3 against. Leaving a 6-3 lead entering the third period. Goals in the second period were scored by Josh Korver, Roy Finch, Nikolai Caron, Griffin Van Gemeren and Alex Dolton. Assists were made by Levi Mallory, Josh Korver(2) and Kohen Couperus. 


The Hawks held their lead in the third period, sinking two more goals past Whitby’s goalie to finish the game with a 8-3 win. Goals in the third period were scored by Alex Dolton and Roy Finch. Assists were made by Kohen Couperus (2) and Alex Dolton. 


The Hawks are on the road for their next three games where they will face off against Whitby Wildcats White, Clarington Toros and Kingston Canadians.
