Quinte West U10A Golden Hawks are going home proud today as they finish the regular season with one final win versus Kingston.
The Hawks stepped on to the ice with pure determination to win this afternoon for their last home game of the season. Within the first minute of play Kohen Couperus put the puck deep into the net, which was just the motivation the team needed to start off.
The Hawks continued to fight hard, scoring 7 more goals to take the win. Griffin Van Gemeren was on fire, taking home a hat trick. Other goals were scored by Alex Dolton (2), Noah Carre-Stewart and Nico Leone with an epic shot from the point. Assists went to Josh Korver(3), Levi Mallory(2), Kohen Couperus, Elena Kotsovos, and Nico Leone. Preston Martin held the team together in net.
Their undefeated record has landed them in 1st place for U10A division in the Lakeshore League.
