Hawks are OMHA Championship Bound
The Hawks swept the second round of the playoffs with three big wins. They started round 2 of the playoffs with a 4-3 win versus Kingston Canadians.

It was a nail biter of a game that saw Kingston leading on the scoreboard until the third period.

In the first period, both teams fought hard, but with 3 minutes left Kingston snuck one in the net and took the lead.

Second period saw Kingston score another 2 goals in the first half, taking a 3-0 lead over the Hawks. After a quick timeout and regrouping, the Hawks knew it was time to pull up their socks. With a pass down the ice from Levi Mallory, Ben Villeneuve was able to skate end to end and put the first goal in the net for the Hawks, giving them the motivation they needed to keep fighting for the win.

Third period was definitely the Hawks’ time to shine. With just under 7 minutes left Noah Carre-Stewart passed the puck out front of the net to Josh Korver, who put the puck past the goalie, making the score 3-2. The Hawks continued to fight hard and at 1 minute 55 seconds left in the game, Noah Carre- Stewart made a hard shot from the point, hitting the back of the net and tying the score. The Hawks were excited but knew they needed to keep fighting hard if they wanted the win. With just 11 seconds left in the game, Nikolai Caron intercepted a pass between Kingston players and took a hard shot, scoring the game winning goal.
