U14 Golden Hawks 3-1 to Start the Season
The U14 Golden hawks have started the season with 3 wins and a loss in the first two weekends.

The opening weekend was a very successful one as the Hawks won both games against the North Durham Warriors.

On Saturday after falling behind early Quinte West came back to take the lead on goals from Tyson Gregory and Connor Boates before the Warriors tied the game late in the first period. Aiden Haker and Gregory scored in the second period to seal the 4-2 win for the Hawks. Brendan Reid, Gavin Armstrong and Cael Hussey supplied assists for the home side while Cooper Martin was solid between the pipes picking up the win.

On Sunday the Golden hawks travelled to North Durham for the second game of the weekend series and scored a hard fought 3-2 victory. After falling behind twice early in the game A goal from Connor Kokonas late in the second would stand as the winner. Armstrong and Gregory scored the other goals while Owen Vis picked up the lone assist. Reese Deline stood tall in net and got the win.

The second weekend of the season saw the Golden Hawks beat the Peterborough Petes before losing on Sunday to the Clarington Toros.

Against the Petes the offence was in high gear and tallied 7 goals to beat the Petes 7-4. The offence was led by Brendan Reid who had a Hat Trick and Tyson Gregory who scored two. Other goals came from Gavin Armstrong and Riley Reid who scored his first as a member of the Hawks. Picking up assists were Rykken Ellis(2), Riley Reid, Felix Paradis, Owen Vis, Connor Boates, Brendan Reid and Gavin Armstrong. Cooper Martin picked up the win in net.

Sunday was not so kind to the squad from Quinte West as the travelled to Clarington and were beaten handily 6-1 by the Toros. Tyson Gregory scored the lone goal with assists going to Felix Paradis and Cael Hussey.

The Hawks are on the road this coming weekend as they travel to Pickering on Saturday before heading to Peterborough on Sunday.
