U9 Golden Hawks Continue To Fly!
It was another big weekend for the U9 Golden Hawks who faced off against two tough competitors and came out on top.
Our Golden Hawks travelled to Peterborough Friday night to face off against the mighty Petes. The hawks battled hard in the first period with a 1-0 lead. Hawks found their way in the second period and never looked back. Another strong performance by Brent Conrod and Alexander Brant between the pipes to lead the Hawks to a 12-2 victory. Hawks goals scored by Colby MacDonald (3), Kye Ralph (3), Wade Robinson (2), Kaden Van Gemeren (1), Holt Poirier (1), Connor Williamson (1), and Lucas Scriver (1).
Today our Golden Hawks faced off against Oshawa General-White on home ice. It was a tense back and forth first period by both teams goalies making stellar saves to keep the game 0-0 after one. Oshawa struck first scoring the first goal but lighting a flame under our Golden Hawks. Our dominating defensive duos, Wade Robinson/Connor Rice and Emma Seeney/Cullen Bovine continued to defend our end and move the puck well to our flying forwards to take home a 13-2 win. Alexander Brant and Brent Conrod shared the win. Golden Hawks goals scored by Wade Robinson (6), Colby MacDonald (5), Lucas Corbin-Miron (1), and Holt Poirier (1).
