U9 Golden Hawks Sweep The Weekend!
It was a busy weekend for the U9 Golden Hawks who earned themselves 2 big wins!
First up our Golden Hawks travelled to Oshawa on Saturday to play the Generals-Red. Brent Conrod started the game in net and Alexander Brant finished, both making big saves and earned their first shared shutout. Our Golden Hawks were flying and took an early lead and never looked back. Quinte West earned the win with a 14-0 victory. Goals scored by Colby MacDonald (5), Kye Ralph (2), Wade Robinson (2), Michael Villeneuve (1), Lucas Corbin-Miron (1), Lucas Scriver (1), Kaden Van Gemeren (1), and Cullen Bovine (1).
The Golden Hawks hosted their home opener against the North Durham Warriors. The stellar defensive performance continued from Emma Seeney, Cullen Bovine, Connor Rice and Wade Robinson helping Brant and Conrod to another shared shutout in a 10-0 victory. Golden Hawks goals scored by Kye Ralph (4), Colby MacDonald (3), Michael Villeneuve (2), and Wade Robinson (1).
Up next our Golden Hawks travel to Peterborough to face off against the Petes on Friday, February 18th at 5:30, then back home on Sunday, February 20th at 12:30 vs Oshawa Generals-White.
