Playoff series #1 is officially complete and the Peewee Minor A Image Landscape Hawks have swept Ajax in three straight games. There should have been no doubt that this would be the result seeing as the Hawks were seeded #1 and went undefeated and the Knights were seeded #10 and went winless in the regular season. This was as lopsided as expected starting with a 9-0 victory for the Hawks in game #1. First period scoring included Brock Davy(Wease, Turpin), Ethan Kenney(Slone, Webby), Jack Andrews(Wease, Turpin), and Sunny Fanjoy(Kenney). The first frame would end 4-0 and Kenney would add two more in the second to complete his hat trick. Colby Coe would continue the offensive carnage in the third with a goal, followed by one from Charlie Mooney(Coe, Slone) and a final from Owen Ferguson(Fanjoy, Kenney). Carson Down went relatively untested in this one but made the saves necessary to ensure the shutout.

Game 2 had the Hawks travel to Ajax for a physical rematch, as the Knights seemed to be playing with a bit of a chip on their shoulder from the game 1 beat down. Wease(Andrews) would start with 2 goals in the first with a single from Turpin(Kenney). The game slowed down significantly with Webby(Slone) adding one in the second and Davy(Wease, Andrews) pounding the final nail in the coffin in the third. Dryden Riley was forced to make a few key saves to keep his shutout alive for a 5-0 final.

The third and final game of the series was back on home ice and the Hawks were looking to make this a statement game. Davy would connect with Wease in the first and the period would shake out at 1-0. Wease(Andrews) would score again in the second and Ferg(Fanjoy) would net one of his own to extend the lead to 3-0. The Hawks would put things out of reach as they imposed their will in the the third. Goals from Webby(Coe), Ferg(Kenney), Carr(Coe), and Kenney(Fanjoy) would send the Knights back to Ajax with an early playoff exit. Carson Down made a couple of great saves early in the game which kept the momentum going in the right direction for the remainder of the game.

The Hawks outscored the Knights 21-0 over the sweep and now eagerly await round two!
