Congratulations to the Quinte West Minor Peewee Image Landscape Hawks on going undefeated in the Regular Season!! The Hawks have finished 25-0-2 in an exciting and dominating regular season. They have achieved two tournament wins as well, winning both the Bell Capital Cup and the Tournament of Champions in Stony Creek.
The Hawks finished the regular season in Kingston last weekend in what would prove to be a highly competitive matchup with the Canadians. Avery Wease started the game with a beautiful breakout goal 20 seconds into the game. Both teams would have multiple chances to score but the Kingston goalie and Dryden Riley made some incredible saves to keep the score 1-0 after the first period. The Canadians would sneak one through in the second to tie things up but the Hawks controlled most of the game after that point. Ethan Lord made a beautiful bank pass off the boards to spring Ethan Kenney for what would be the game winning goal late in the third. Brock Davy would fire an end to end hail mary open netter to put things out of reach for the Canadians. Overall it was a satisfying win for the Hawks as they look forward to a first round playoff matchup with Ajax. Game 1 is set for Saturday afternoon in Frankford. Let’s Go Hawks!!
