The Quinte West Image Landscape Minor Peewee A Hawks have had another 3 convincing wins in the first two weeks of October. Thanksgiving weekend saw the Hawks matchup against North Durham in a one sided home game. Owen Ferguson led the attack with a couple of goals and singles were netted by Ty Turpin, Charlie Mooney, Ethan Lord, Sunny Fanjoy, and Jack Andrews. Carson Down had a great showing in net, stopping all but one shot, leading to a 7-1 victory for the Hawks!
This past weekend the Hawks travelled to Whitby for a rematch against Whitby Blue. The Whitby team just didn’t have enough to stop the offensive onslaught as goals scored by Avery Wease, Andrews, Mooney, and Lordy, would lead to a convincing 4-0 win. Dryden Riley picked up a shutout making a number of impressive saves in the win.
The Sunday home crowd was treated to hat tricks by Wease and Ethan Kenney, along with singles goals by Mooney, Holden Webster, and Ferguson. Carson Down would stop all shots from the Pickering team to claim another shutout for the Hawks squad. This 9-0 blasting of the Panthers would put the Hawks at 8-0 in the regular season!
