Avengers Second Game vs White Lightening
The QW Avengers played an excellent game against the QW White Lightening Oct 24th 2015 ending in a 2-2 tie. The Avengers lead the game for the first two periods until the White Lightening tied the game in the last 5 seconds of the 3rd period.
The Avengers showed great improvement on the ice with passing and shooting skills and over-all team-work was second to none.
White Lightening's Goalie made some great saves and our own Goalie Sean-Ryan pulled off some incredible saves (some looking NHL like) with pads high and making an incredible effort. The Avengers offense is making some great breakaways and drives towards the net and we watched some incredible passes from the points and corners to players situated out front of the White Lightening's goalie.
The Avengers defense was equally impressive making some full-ice hard runs to shutdown the breakaways and passing plays from the opposing team. I can say the coaching staff is very impressed with the team work being displayed by the entire Avengers team.
Your coaches are proud of your performance and I'm sure parents are equally proud of your performance so early in the season.
Our next game is against QW Black Hawks on Saturday Oct 31 @ 10:30 AM.
We will have an extra Goalie joining us (Goalie from White Lightening team) for our Friday practice which will give the Avengers two goalies to practice with.
