Avengers, NovLL, 2015-2016 (Quinte West Minor Hockey Association)

Ok, lets start off by saying things didn't exactly start out on the best note Saturday morning. The QW schedule indicated the Avengers were playing the Picton Prinzen Ford team in Picton. Wrong !!  The game was actually at Wellington Arena 20 mins away from Picton arena. After scrambling the team, navigating through Wellingtons Santa Clause parade the Avengers arrived in Wellington at 10:00 am for their 10:00 am game. Thankfully Wellington arena has plenty of spare ice time given it's location and the team was given some grace time to get dressed and hit the ice. The Quinte West Avengers Novice team went to Stirling to play the Stirling Blues on their home ice. I think it is fair to say, this was the coldest arena the team has ever played in and on a Olympic size ice surface that makes the Avengers rink seem tiny in comparison. Read More

It appears the Avengers like to keep the fans on the edge of their seats. Once again the fans, coaches and the players at the bench were having heart palpitations watching the action on the ice. A nail biter does not do justice to the action and excitement generated at the Avengers games.
