Game 4 Avengers vs. PEC Long Reach Towels
Another nail biter, The QW Avengers played PEC Long Reach Towels in Wellington and it was another incredible game. Once again the Avengers Goalie Sean-Ryan had a great game as did the PEC Long Reach Towels Goalie.

The QW Avengers had a small bench in Wellington with only 7 players to cover the game. With 1 sub for defense and 1 sub for forward the team played long shifts and showed off their excellent physical fitness by giving their all the entire game. The PEC Long Reach Towels had a full compliment of 14 players to rotate through but regardless of the numbers the QW Avengers showed some great heart and team work.

The PEC LRT team put some good pressure on the Avengers at times but the Avengers forwards and defense answered the call and played really well together once again. A good portion of the game the Avengers returned that on ice pressure and kept the puck in the LRT's defensive zone.

We watched some incredible goals from Gavin with assists by Mason and Jacob. Matt made some great passes to keep the puck around the LRT goalie. Great team work Avengers! There were some incredible shots by Mason and Jacob who were ringing the posts which was heard through out the arena and some great shots for the top shelf that just missed the upper reaches of the net. Gavin (with help from the team) was putting his shots by the LRT goalie every chance he had. You could see and hear the fan reaction at those shots which is testament to how great a game it was.

The defensive lines did an incredible job of keeping the puck in LRT's end, Ethan, Damien and Leighton were on the points making it difficult for PEC LRT to move into the Avengers zone and worked hard to keep the puck in LRT's zone. The defense gave it their all and were skating hard and disrupted several breakaways from PEC LRT. The entire team did a great job of backing each other up when PEC LRT moved in to take shots on Sean-Ryan and moved the puck quickly and efficiently out and down the ice. Sean-Ryan made some great saves.

The PEC LRT took an early lead in the first period 1-0 but then the Avengers came back to regain the lead in the first period 1-2.  PEC LRT tied it in the second period 2-2 and it remained that way until Gavin grab a great goal to take the lead for the Avengers in the 3rd period 2-3. In the last 13 seconds of the 3rd the PEC LRT came back to tie the score 3-3.
