Hawks Take 2-0 Series Lead Over Ajax
The Klemencic Homes Atom 'A' Hawks have jumped out to a 2-0 series lead over the Ajax Knights.
The series opened Saturday at the RCAF Arena and the Hawks got a total team effort as seven different goal scorers chipped in on route to a 7-0 win. Scoring for the Hawks were Michael Dolton, Geoffrey Boates, Jakob Gardner, Eamonn Deery, Daniel McLeod, Jack Lowry and Ryan Kirk. Picking up assists were Dolton(4), Shane Jerrett, Lowry and Tyvian Koets. Logan Vale was solid between the pipes picking up the shut-out.
On Sunday the Hawks travelled to Whitby and got another great team effort cruising to a 6-1 victory over the Knights. Goals came from Deery(2), Lowry, Dolton, Justin Bolduc and Keenan Wiles. Dolton(2), McLeod, Deery, Lowry and Mac Slone added the assists. Seamus Killeen picked up the win in net.
Game three of the series will take place Friday evening at 6:30pm at the RCAF Arena. If necessary the Hawks will travel to Ajax on Saturday and host the Knights on Sunday.
