First Tournament In The Books!
Quinte West U10A Golden Hawks traveled to Niagara Falls to compete in the Peter Mancuso November Challenge. While we didn't get the outcome we wanted and missed the semi's just shy of one goal, we made some great memories and are more eager than ever to develop our skills as we move forward.
The first game of the tournament on Friday morning, our Golden Hawks faced off against the A/AA Brantford 99'ers. Our Hawks fought hard but fell short with a 3-1 loss. Blake Gregory had Quinte West's only goal. Brent Conrod was solid between the pipes to keep the Hawks in the game.
Game two on Friday the Golden Hawks took on the Applewood Coyotes with a 3-1 victory! Goals scored by Colby MacDonald, Michael Villeneuve and Wade Robinson. Alexander Brant gave a stellar performance in net.
Next up our Quinte West Golden Hawks were up bright and early on Saturday to take on the Milton Winterhawks. It was an intense back and forth game, but our Golden Hawks came out on top with a 7-4 victory! Brent Conrod played excellent in net to earn the win. Goals scored by Colby MacDonald (3), Wade Robinson (1), Max Taylor (1), Kye Ralph (1), and Lucas Scriver (1).
Next up our Golden Hawks hit the road for this weekend for a game against North Durham on Saturday at 12:45pm and then In Whitby to take on the Wildcats on Sunday at 2:45pm. Let's Go Golden Hawks!
