U18 Golden Hawks Start the Season with 2 Wins
The Dibbits Excavating U18 Golden Hawks got off to a strong start to the 21-22 season with two wins on the opening weekend.
On Saturday in what was a physical affair the Hawks pulled out a 6-4 victory over the Northumberland Nighthawks. The offence was led by Geoffrey Boates and Jakob Gardner who each had a pair of goals. Single markers went to Michael Dolton and Carter Rightmeyer. Picking up assists were Boates and Will Potts. Seamus Killeen was solid between the pipes and picked up the win.
On Sunday the Hawks travelled to Pickering and the great offensive start continued as they scored seven in a 7-1 win over the Panthers. Pacing the attack were Michael Dolton who had a hat trick and Vincent Bellavance who picked up a pair of goals. Other goals were scored by Layne Cocek and Jakob Gardner. Assists went to Cocek(2) Boates, Tyvian Koets, Bellavance and Hayden McLaughlin. Logan Vale was steady between the pipes and got the win.
The Hawks travel to Pickering again this weekend for their lone game on Saturday.
