U18 Golden Hawks Win 2 of 3 Last Week
The Dibbit's Excavating U18 Golden Hawks had victories over Pickering (A1) and Belleville last week while falling to the North Durham Warriors.
On November 6 the Hawks played host to the Pickering Panthers A1 team and walked away with a solid 8-0 victory. Scoring for the Hawks were Daniel McLeod-Lockwood(2), Layne Cocek, Geoffrey Boates, Vincent Bellavance, Jakob Gardner, Mac Slone and Justin Bolduc. Assists went to Bellavance(3), Boates(2), Cocek, Will Potts, Michael Dolton, Logan Vale and Carter Rightmeyer. Vale was steady between the pipes picking up the win.
On Thursday the Golden Hawks travelled to Uxbridge to take on the North Durham Warriors. Playing with a short bench and being put shorthanded for a large portion of the game the Hawks battled hard but fell to the Warriors 4-3. Jakob Gardner, Michael Dolton and Layne Cocek scored for the home side while assists went to Geoffrey Boates(2), Jakob Gardner, Tyvian Koets and Hayden McLaughlin.
On Saturday the Hawks took the short trip to Belleville and in another tight game they pulled out a 2-0 win. Jakob Gardner and Vincent Bellavance supplied the offence with assists going to Geoffrey Boates and Gardner. Logan Vale made some key saves to pick up the shutout.
