U14 Golden Hawks Battle Hard for Win vs. Kingston, News, Under 14 A, 2021-2022, Rep (Quinte West Minor Hockey Association)

On Wednesday night the Golden Hawks played a rare week night home game and put forth a great effort in beating the Kingston Canadiens 3-0.

The Hawks got off to a quick start when Brendan Reid converted a Connor Boates rebound just 8 seconds into the game. Before the end of the first period Tyson Gregory converted his own rebound to give the home side a 2-0 lead heading to the intermission. The game was a tight checking affair the rest of the way and the Golden Hawks sealed the win with a beautiful shorthanded goal as Gregory converted on a great pass from Gavin Armstrong with 7 minutes remaining. Eli Kenney also assisted on the goal. Cooper Martin was rock solid in net with the shutout.
