U14 Golden Hawks Sweep Weekend Games
The Trenton Sportsfield Co-op U14 Golden Hawks won both of their games this weekend and moved into first place in the Lakeshore League.
On Saturday the Golden Hawks travelled to Pickering to take on the Panthers and they walked all over them coming away with a 9-2 victory. Colby Wiersma, Brendan Reid and Connor Boates each scored 2 goals for the home side while singles went to Eli Kenney, Cael Hussey and Tyson Gregory. Assists went to Riley Reid(2), Brendan Reid(2), Connor Boates(2), Connor Kokonas(2), Jakob Harnest, Aiden Haker, Owen Vis, Rykken Ellis and Hussey. Reese Deline picked up the win in net.
On Sunday the Hawks were on the road again in Peterborough but it did not seem to affect them as they had a solid team effort and rolled over the Petes 5-2. Connor Boates led the offence with 2 goals and an assist. Other goals went to Brendan Reid, Jakob Harnest and Gavin Armstrong. Picking up assists were Connor Kokonas, Owen Vis, Colby Wiersma, Rykken Ellis, Cael Hussey, Tyson Gregory and Brendan Reid. Cooper Martin stood tall in net picking up the win.
The team has one game this coming weekend when they host Pickering on Saturday at 3:30pm.
