Hockey Filled Weekend for the U13 Golden Hawks
The U13 Nomad Golden Hawks hosted three home games this weekend and earned themselves 4 points.

Friday night saw the Golden Hawks falling short to the Clarington Toros, 2 to 1.  Joey Nieman would score the lone goal for the G-Hawks that was assisted by Cam Slone and Rhet Sharp. Owen Curran was steady between the pipes

Saturday the team would face off against the Ajax Knights and earn themselves their second win of the season. Riley Kavanagh would open the scoring in the 4 to 3 victory for the Hawks followed by Joey Nieman landing two and Rhet Sharp with the game winner.  Assists from Hayden Parent, Andrew Gilson, Rhet Sharp (2), Cam Slone, Rhys Lawrence and Nieman.  Logan Wain earns the win in net.

The final game of the weekend saw the Nomads with another win against North Durham Warriors.  Owen Curran would earn his first shutout of the season.  Rhet Sharp came away with a hat trick.  Hunter Bradbury and Cam Slone would each add to the tally.  Assists from Slone (2), Kale Tawse, Antonio Popiel and Sullivan Tait.  

The team is headed to The Peggy Hill Classic in Barrie for their first tournament of the season next weekend then followed by the Silver Stick tournament in Cobourg.  The U13 Golden Hawks will return to regular game action on Dec 11th in Whitby and their next home game is 3pm Sunday Dec 12th at the Dunc when they face off against Ajax.
