Hawks Drop Final Two Regular Season Games
The World Elite Training Minor Peewee Hawks wrapped up the regular seaso this weekend with two losses.
On Saturday the Hawks played the Ajax Knights. After battling from behind the first two periods they fell behind early in the third and then scored two late goals but it was not enough as they lost 6-5. Brendan Reid paced the offence with three goals while Cael Hussey and Connor Kokonas scored the others. Assists went Gavin Armstrong, Connor Boates, Jakob Harnest, Sterling Poff and Tyson Gregory.
On Sunday the Hawks struggled to find their defensive game once again giving up six goals for the second game in a row in a 6-4 loss to the Oshawa Generals. Gregory, Boates, Reid and Hussey supplied the offence in this game with assists going to Reid(2), Hussey, Harnest, Boates and Kokonas.
The Hawks will open the playoffs next weekend against the 6th seeded North Durham Warriors.
