Hawks Earn 3 of 6 Points On Weekend
The World Elite Training Minor Peewee Hawks had a win, a loss and a tie this weekend.

On Friday the Hawks were on the road in North Durham and came out strong taking a 3-0 lead after the first period. Both teams battled hard the rest of the way and the Hawks skated away with a 3-1 win. Quinte West goals came from Gavin Armstrong, Brendan Reid and Tyson Gregory. Adding assists were Connor Boates(2), Colby Wiersma and Cael Hussey. Nowl Wallace had a solid game in net and got the win.

On Saturday the Hawks played host to the Clarington Toros. After a scoreless first period the teams traded goals in the second period and that would be all the scoring there was in this game as it ended in a 1-1 draw. Reid scored for the Hawks with Sterling Poff picking up the assist. Noah Groeneveld stood tall between the pipes for the home side.

On Sunday the Hawks were on the road once again for a match-up with the Whitby Wildcats who are challenging them for first place. The Hawks would open the scoring in the second period but Whitby answered back off the next face-off and never looked back as they downed the Hawks 6-1. Reid once again scored the lone goal with assists going to Connor Kokonas and Noah Marsh.

The minor peewees close out their pre-Christmas schedule with a game against the second place Oshawa Generals this Tuesday at 6:00pm in Trenton.
