Kingston Leads QW 2-1 After Three Games
The Rhino Hockey Training Minor Atom Hawks find themselves in a familiar position after three games against the Canadians.

After taking game one the Hawks have dropped two straight games just as they did in their first two playoff series.

On Friday the Hawks traveled to Kingston for game one and put in a very solid defensive effort to come away with a 3-0 win. Jacob August, Quinton Bogart and Tyson Gregory supplied the offence with Eli Kenney and Connor Kokonas picking up assists. Cooper Martin picked up the shutout victory between the pipes.

On Saturday in game two the Hawks came out flying taking a 3-1 lead after the first period and held on to lead 3-2 after the second. The lead would slip away in the third as the Canadians scored three goals to walk away with a 5-4 win. Quinte West goals came from Connor Boates, Jakob Harnest, Bogart and Colby Wiersma with assists going to Gregory(2) and Kenney.

Game three was back in Kingston on Sunday. The Hawks came out flat and could not find their stride falling 5-1 to the Canadians. Gregory scored the lone goal with Matt Hicks getting the assist.

The Hawks head into next weekend with their backs against the wall but hopefully they will show their resilience just as they did in the last round winning in five games. Game four will take place in Trenton at 1:00pm on Saturday. If game five is required it will be in Kingston on Sunday.
