Hawks Drop 2 Weekend Games
The Rhino Hockey Training Novice A Hawks were in tough this weekend and played well but could not pick up a victory.
On Saturday the Hawks played host to the second place Port Perry Predators. After a great start the Hawks could not keep up the pace and fell 7-2. Quinton Bogart and Evan Beamish supplied the goals while Jakob Harnest picked up the lone assist.
On Sunday the Hawks played a very good game but just came up short losing 4-3 to the Clarington Toros. The score went back and forth before the Toros sealed the win with two late goals. Tyson Gregory led the offence as he scored all three goals. Assists went to Colby Wiersma, Owen Vis, Noah Lesser and Aiden Haker. Alex Bisset was solid in net.
The Hawks are back in action this weekend with two road games. On Saturday they travel to Whitby to take on the Wildcats (White) while on Sunday they hit the road for a rematch with the Toros in Clarington.
