Hawks Split Weekend Games but Drop QF Series
The Rhino Hockey Training Novice 'A" Hawks put up a great fight winning game three of their OMHA Quarter Final series before eventually dropping game four and the series to the Clarington Toros.

On Saturday with their backs against the wall the Hawks played one of their best games of the season. After taking a 3-2 lead to the third period they would have to have some late game heroics to pull out the win. Clarington tied the game with just over three minutes remaining while the Hawks were two men short but a determined Quinte West squad would not be denied on this day as Tyson Gregory potted the game winner with just 7 seconds remaining in regulation time. The Hawks also got goals from Connor Boates, Owen Vis and Jakob Harnest. Assists went to Boates(2), Colby Wiersma(2), Vis, Aiden Haker, Gregory and Quinton Bogart. Alex Bisset was incredible between the pipes.

On Sunday the Hawks kept up the never say die attitude taking a 2-1 lead to the second period before allowing five unanswered goals to fall 6-2 to the Toros. Noah Lesser and Gregory supplied the goals while Matt Hicks picked up the lone assist.

The Hawks will now wait to see who their opponent will be in the first round of the Lakeshore League playoffs.
