Hawks Swept From Lakeshore Playoffs
The Rhino Hockey Training Novice 'A' Hawks lost three straight hard fought games to the Oshawa Generals and have been eliminated from the Lakeshore League Playoffs.

In game one on Thursday the Hawks fell behind early but stayed in the game making it 3-2 with just over three minutes to play before the Generals scored and empty net goal to cap off a 4-2 win. Tyson Gregory and Noah Lesser supplied the goals for Quinte West while Evan Beamish, Matt Hicks, Gregory and Connor Boates each had single assists. Alex Bisset played well in net.

In Game two the Hawks fell behind 3-0 early in the third before coming back to get within a goal at 3-2 but once again Oshawa scored an empty net goal to secure the win and take a 2-0 lead in the series. Gregory and Jakob Harnest scored for the Hawks. Aiden Haker and Lesser picked up assists. Reese Deline had a good game in net.

Game three was played on Sunday and the Hawks came out strong taking a 3-1 lead to the third period but could not withstand a late charge by the Generals and eventually fell 5-4 as Oshawa picked up the win and closed out the series. Noah Lesser led the offence with 2 goals while Colby Wiersma and Quinton Bogart had singles. Assists went to Tiernan Deery(2), Boates, Gregory, Pearson MacDonald and Matt Hicks. Bisset was strong between the pipes.

The coaching staff was very proud of how far this team came throughout the season and would like to thank all of the players and parents for a great year.
