Hawks Win One of Three At Guelph Tournament
The Rhino Hockey Training Novice Hawks had a tough draw at the Guelph Power Play tournament playing 3 of the top 4 teams in the standings.

They got off on the right foot beating the New Hamburg Huskies 4-3 in their opening game. Aiden Haker led the offence scoring 2 goals while Pearson McDonald and Noah Lesser each had one. Lesser scored the game winner with 32 seconds left in the game. Quinton Bogart picked up the lone assist Alex Bisset was strong in net.

In game 2 the Hawks were up against the eventual tournament champion Riverside Rangers and fell by a score of 7-0.

Game 3 on Saturday morning saw the Hawks face a tough Burlington Eagles team and came up on the short end of a 5-1 score. Colby Weirsma scored the only goal.

In their fourth and final game the Hawks would face the tournament host and finalist Guelph Gryphons. The Gryphons would prove to be a very strong team as the came away with a 7-0 victory.

The Hawks are back in Lakeshore League action this weekend with two home games. They face the Oshawa Generals on Saturday before hosting the Port Perry Predators on Sunday.
