Hawks Drop Two This Weekend
The 413 Wing Peewee AE Hawks were home this past weekend against the Clarington Toros and Peterborough Petes.
On Saturday the Hawks lost 6-1 to the visiting Toros. Starting out strong, skating through a scoreless first period, the hawks were out scored in the second 5-1. The Hawks lone goal came from Domenico Scime with assists from Owen Ferguson and Quinton Bogart. Cooper Martin was strong in net facing 30 shots for the loss.
The Hawks hosted the third place Petes on Sunday. With one of their best efforts of the year, the Hawks managed to hold the high flying Petes to 5 goals against on 25 shots. Reese Deline played very well for the loss.
Earlier in the week the Hawks played an exhibition game against the Napanee Stars AE team skating to a 6-3 Loss. Scoring all three goals for the Hawks was Owen Ferguson. Spencer Power had the lone assist. Both Deline and Martin shared duties between the pipes.
Heading into the Christmas Break, the Hawks play Thursday on the road in Oshawa and Saturday at home against the Whitby White Wildcats.
