Hawks Come Up Short In Ajax
The 413 Wing Peewee AE Hawks traveled to Ajax on Sunday to take on the Knights in their quarter final Lakeshore round robin.

Game two of the round robin didn't start out well for the Hawks, allowing 2 goals on the first three shots on netminder Reese Deline. Deline would settle in and play well keeping the game close.

Late in the second, Ethan Fellows would make a good play to keep the puck in at the blue line and Quinton Bogart would pick the puck up behind the net to feed Jacob Briscoe out front, to cut the lead in half.

Ajax would restore their 2 goal lead early in the third on a long hard shot from outside the blueline catching Deline off guard. Late in the third the Hawks would capitalize on the power play. Briscoe would win the faceoff to Bryce Mitchell who ripped a shot from the point past the Ajax goalie.  Deline would come up big with some key saves late in the game to give the Hawks an opportunity to tie it up. With one last attempt to score, the Hawks would have a defensive zone faceoff breakdown, allowing the Knights to put the game out of reach 4-2.  The Hawks would go 3 for 4 on the penalty kill and 1 for 6 on the powerplay. Deline would finish with 15 saves on 19 shots.

The Hawks will return to action next weekend, hosting both Ajax and Oshawa, in a must win scenario.
