Hawks Unbeaten Streak Hits 10
The World Elite Training Minor Peewee Hawks stretched their unbeaten streak to 10 games this weekend with two wins over the Peterborough Petes.
On Saturday the Hawks came out flying and took a 3-0 lead before the Petes got on the board and then cruised to a 5-1 win. Scoring for the Hawks were Gavin Armstrong(2), Cael Hussey, Brendan Reid and Jakob Harnest. Assists went to Connor Boates(2), Sterling Poff(2), Reid, Owen Vis, Connor Kokonas, Armstrong and Hussey. Nowl Wallace picked up the win in net.
On Sunday the Hawks were on the road in Peterborough and once again jumped out to an early lead and held on for a 3-1 win. Connor Boates had 2 goals and assist with Reid tallying the other goal. Additional assists went to Armstrong, Reid, Noah Marsh and Kokonas. Noah Groeneveld got the win in net.
The Hawks get a break from their Lakeshore League schedule this week as they head to Philadelphia, PA to participate in the Philadelphia Fall Classic tournament.
