Hawks Beat the Petes
The Rhino Hockey Training Minor Atom Hawks put in an excellent effort and defeated the Peterborough Petes 6-4 on Saturday.
The game was tied at three heading to the third period and then the Hawks exploded for three quick goals to close out the win. Connor Boates led the offence picking up a hat trick while Tyson Gregory, Jakob Harnest and Pearson MacDonald all picked up single markers. Assists went to Gregory(2), Matt Hicks, Gavin Armstrong, Colby Wiersma and Phoebe Mooney. Cooper Martin picked up the win in net.
The Hawks have a busy week this week. They head to Whitby on Tuesday to take on the Wildcats (white) before returning home for games Friday night against the Whitby Wildcats (Blue) and Saturday afternoon against the Clarington Toros.
