Tykes Take Two of Their Last Three Games
The Tyke 7 Trenton Nomads take 2 of their last 3 games.
Tuesday night brought home game action with the team facing the Northumberland Nighthawks. The Hawks were off to a slow start and went into the second down by two goals. Seth Scaletta opened up the scoring for the Hawks and would add another three goals by the end of the game. Bringing in the remaining goals were Cam Slone, Ethan Lesser, Joey Nieman and Tyler MacDonald. Assists from Rhys Lawrence, Lennox Colton, Malachi Hoornweg, Slone and Nieman. Hawks came out with an 8 to 4 victory.
Saturday saw another 4-1 win for the Hawks when they travelled to take on Oshawa. Scaletta lead the offense to score one in the first and then another in the third. Lesser and Nieman would contribute singles. Assists from MacDonald, Colton and Nieman.
Sunday the team hosted the Port Perry Predators and they would prove to be too much for the Hawks. Hawks fell to a 12 - 5 defeat. Scaletta would earn a hat trick. Gerald Whaley and Rhys Lawrence would also score for the Hawks. Whaley with one assist and Slone would earn three.
Nora Jones and Mason Taylor shared duties in net and fought hard between the pipes.
