The Tyke 7 Trenton Nomads split their two home games this weekend
On Saturday they took on the Pickering Panthers losing 3 to 2.
The Hawks went into the second period down by a goal, but Joey Nieman lead the offense and got the Hawks on the board. Soon after Lennox Colton found the back of the net resulting in a 2 to 1 lead. It would be short lived and Pickering would add another goal in the second and another in the third. The Hawks dominated the game but they just couldn't get another one in the net.
Assisting the goal was Nieman. Nora Jones was strong in net.
On Sunday the Hawks would earn a win at home against Ajax Knights. Opening the scoring in the first was Colton. Ajax tied the game at the end of the first period. The second period belonged to the Hawks where six goals were scored. They added an additional three in the third. Hawks took the game 10-3.
Goals scored by Rhys Lawrence, Ethan Lesser, Cam Slone (2), Seth Scaletta (2) Nieman (3). Assists from Slone (2), Scaletta (2), Lawrence, Colton, Malachi Hoornweg, Malcolm Broooks and Sullivan Tait. Mason Taylor was strong between the pipes.
