Hawks Beat Panthers
The Klemencic Homes Atom Hawks beat the Pickering Panthers 4-1 this past weekend.
In what was a close game the Hawks put together a solid effort and held on to beat Pickering. The Hawks led 2-0 after the first and 2-1 at the end of the second before recording an insurance marker with just over 9 minutes to play. They capped off the win with an empty net goal in the last minute. Scoring for the Hawks were Michael Dolton(2), Eamonn Deery and Jakob Gardner. Picking up assists were Dolton(2), Shane Jerrett and Justin Bolduc. Seamus Killen recorded the win in net.
The Hawks are back in action this weekend with back to back home games. On Saturday they host the Clarington Toros in Frankford and on Sunday the first place Uxbridge Stars are in Trenton as the Hawks look to close the gap in the standings.
