Huronia Tournament Champions
The Trenton Sportsfield Co-Op U16 Quinte West Golden Hawks travelled to Collingwood this past weekend and came home as champions of the 48th Annual Huronia Tournament.
After going 1-2 in the round robin portion of the tournament the Golden Hawks played their best hockey on Sunday. They defeated the Talbot Trail Blazers 4-1 in the semi-final before avenging a 2-1 round robin loss to the Dorchester Dragons with a convincing 6-3 victory in the final.
The team looks to carry this momentum into an important regular season weekend with games against top ranked teams, Whitby, Peterborough and Ajax Pickering.
