Hawks Drop Last Two Before Playoffs
The 413 Wing Peewee AE Hawks finished the regular season with a pair of losses this weekend.
On Saturday, the Hawks braved the weather and traveled to Pickering to face the Panthers. In a penalty filled affair, the Hawks lost 10-3. Gabe Miller got the Hawks on the board in the second with a great individual effort, scoring short handed. Bryce Mitchell scored on the powerplay midway through the third, assisted by Felix Paradis. Before the final buzzer Miller scored his second on a powerplay with assists to Quinton Bogart and Brody Hannaberry.
In the final game of the season, the Hawks would face off against the Peterborough Petes. Playing a tight first period the Hawks found themselves down 1-0. In the second and third period the Hawks had no answer for the Petes' potent offence. Final score was 11-0.
The 413 Wing Hawks will open playoffs in Peterborough against the Petes next weekend. The Hawks first home game of the series will be January 25th at 2:15pm.
