Hawks Split Weekend Games
The Rhino Hockey Training Minor Atom Hawks had a win and a loss this past weekend.
The Hawks opened the weekend with a strong showing on Saturday as they traveled to Peterborough and beat the Petes 3-2. Scoring for the Hawks were Tyson Gregory, Gavin Armstrong and Colby Wiersma. Assists went to Connor Boates, Pearson MacDonald and Gregory. Alex Bisset was strong in net picking up the win.
On Sunday the Hawks came out flat against a strong Whitby Blue team and paid the price as they were beaten handily by the Wildcats 9-1. Quinton Bogart picked up the lone goal with Jakob Harnest adding an assist.
The Hawks are off to Niagara Falls this weekend to take part in the Peter Mancuso tournament.
