QWMHA mourns long time member Roger Drake
Quinte West Minor Hockey has learned of the recent passing of longtime minor hockey coach and builder, Roger Drake.  Roger followed in his father's, Charlie Drake's, footsteps with a coaching career that spanned 20 years and included many of Trenton's most successful teams.

Among the teams inducted into the Quinte West Sports Hall of Fame, he was a part of the Royal Canadian Legion Juvenile Ontario Champions in 1963/1965 and 1964/1965 and the Birt's Handy Stand Juvenile Ontario Champions for three consecutive years, 1972/1973, 1973/1974 and 1974/1975.

Roger passed away peacefully on June 3 after a lengthy, courageous battle with cancer. We extend our deepest sympathies to the family and friends of Roger Drake.
