'Respect in Hockey' is a concept that receives serious consideration in both minor hockey and community sport. OMHA is committed to the prevention of abuse, bullying and harassment towards their members.
In 2013, OMHA board of directors announced that all team officials, on ice volunteers, officials and parents
must complete a 'Respect in sport' education course.
At least one parent or guardian of each player registered with the OMHA will be required to complete the Respect in Sport - Parent Program as a condition of participation. The one hour online course is a proactive, educational program that empowers parents with the tools to ensure the game is enjoyable and respectful for themselves, their children and other skateholders in the game.
Parents can complete this course on the General Information tab of our website. Families without credit cards or who would prefer not give out credit card information can purchase a code from QWMHA office for $15.
To ensure player eligibility, this course must be completed by November 7th 2016.
