The U13 Nomad Golden Hawks made the most out of their return to hockey earning 5 points from their last 3 games.
Tuesday the team downed the Kingston Canadians 3 to 2. Scoring for the Hawks were Rhet Sharp, Hayden Parent and Cam Slone, who scored on a penalty shot. Joey Nieman with an assist. Logan Wain with a stellar performance between the pipes.
On Saturday Logan Wain would earn his first shutout of the season as they faced Whitby White. Rhet Sharp scores the lone goal for the Golden Hawks.
Sunday the team would tie Oshawa in what would prove to be an exciting game. Logan Wain with a very important penalty shot save at the end of the game would see the score ending in a tie at 3. Scoring for the Hawks would be Joey Nieman and two for Hunter Bradbury. Assists from Cam Slone(3), Rhys Lawrence and Antonio Popiel.
The team is back in action this weekend as they travel to Peterborough on Saturday then face off against the first place Clarington Toros on Sunday. Come cheer on the U13 Hawks at 2:45 at the Duncan McDonald arena on Sunday.
