U16A Golden Hawks keep soaring high!
The U16A Image Landscaping Golden Hawks had a very busy weekend. Playing three games in three days, taking home three decisive wins! 

On December 9th, the boys kicked off the weekend with a late Friday night game versus the Northumberland Knight Hawks. They came out strong, scoring 8 unanswered goals in the 1st period, and never looked back. They ended up shutting out the Knight Hawks 12-0. Carson Down was between the pipes, picking up the shutout win.  

Next up, the Golden Hawks took their dominance on the road once again on Saturday, December 10th to square off versus the Center Hastings Grizzlies. They ended up taking home a decisive 11-1 win. Joaquim Murray was solid in net, picking up the win. 

The boys finished off the weekend with a home game versus the Oshawa Generals. Jacob Brummell opened up the scoring for the Hawks early in the 1st period (Unassisted). The period finished 1-0 for the Hawks. The lone goal in the 2nd period was notched by Charlie Mooney, grabbing the apples were Brumwell and Kuipers. The Generals scored early into the 3rd period on a power play. A few minutes later, Jacob Brummell answered the call and sniped in his second goal of the game (assisted by Slone and Turpin). The Generals scored late into the period making it 3-2 for the Hawks. Then Brody Pilatzke shut the door for good when he buried an empty net goal. Standing strong in net was Carson Down. Final score, 4-2 for the Golden Hawks.  

This brings the U16A Golden Hawks record to 15-0-2, and they remain in 1st place in the Lakeshore U16A standings.  

Next up, the boys host the North Durham Warriors on Friday, December 16th (8:30pm, Duncan McDonald). Then to finish off before the holiday break, the Golden Hawks will host the Whitby Wildcats on Sunday, December 18th (4:45pm, Duncan McDonald).
