2 Point Whitby Weekend
The U14 Nomad Quinte West Golden Hawks would face both Whitby teams this weekend.

On Saturday the Nomads would travel to take on the Whitby White team and win with a score of 4 to 1.  Nico Toussaint was steady between the pipes.  The game would remain scoreless until the second period where Elijah MacDonald would find the back of the net with a pass from Joey Nieman.  Keegan Goulah and Nieman would both get power play goals and Riley Kavanagh would put one on the board.  Assists from Kavanagh, Malcolm Brooks, Cohen Heales, Cam Slone, Hunter Bradbury and Rhys Lawrence.

Sunday the tides changed for the team and they would suffer their first loss in regular season against Whitby Blue, although they still boast an impressive 12-1-0 record.  Malcolm Brooks scored the only goal for the team from a behind the net pass from Kale Tawse.  Despite pulling their goalie in the last few minutes and putting on the pressure to tie it up the Whitby goalie would keep them at bay and the Hawks fall 2 to 1.  Owen Curran made several key saves in net.

This week is a busy one for the team.  They travel to Oshawa Tuesday night, play host to Ajax/Pickering on Friday then travel on both Saturday and Sunday to faceoff against Clarington and Peterborough. Come join us Friday night at 7pm at the Duncan McDonald arena.
