The U14 Nomad Quinte West Golden Hawks end their weekend with a 10-0-0 record in league play.

Wednesday the Nomads would make the hometown crowd proud as they beat the Kingston Canadians 5 to 3.  Kingston has only succumbed to one team so far this season and it's been to the mighty Golden Hawks, who have beat them twice.

Opening the scoring for the team would be Keegan Goulah from Riley Kavanagh and Malcolm Brooks.  Kavanagh would maximize on the power play and score from Rhys Lawrence and Goulah.  Kingston would respond with a shorthanded goal. In the second Brooks would score on the power play from Logan Fonger.  Cam Slone would get the unassisted game winning goal. Kingston would land another on their power play then would pull their goalie and put the pressure on.  Brooks would get the insurance marker with the empty netter.  Owen Curran remained strong in net and earned the win.

Sunday the team would face Whitby Blue in front of a hometown crowd.  Whitby would be the first to score in the first and the Hawks would tie it up in the second with a goal from Malcolm Brooks.  Whitby would score again but it would not be enough to keep the Hawks down.  Keegan Goulah, Brooks and Cam Slone would all score giving the team the 4 to 2 win.  Assists from Cohen Heales (3), Logan Fonger, Hunter Bradbury and Goulah. Nico Toussaint with the win in net.

The U14 Nomad Quinte West Golden Hawks are looking forward to competing this weekend in the Regional Silver Stick Qualifiers tournament.
