The U14 Golden Hawks Winning Streak Continues
The U14 Nomad Golden Hawks remain in top spot in the Lakeshore Hockey League after they nail all 3 games this weekend.

The Hawks earn a hefty 6 points this weekend as they faced Clarington, Northumberland and Ajax.
Friday in front of a hometown crowd the Nomads would earn themselves a hard fought victory against the Clarington Toros with a score of 3 to 1.
Andrew Gilson would open the scoring followed by Malcolm Brooks and Keegan Goulah. Owen Curran held steady in net.
Assist from Cohen Heales, Goulah, Brooks and Antonio Popiel.
Saturday the Hawks would travel to take on the Northumberland Nighthawks where the game started off real shaky. They trailed the Nighthawks until Keegan Goulah scored. The Nighthawks landed another before the first period would end.
The second period saw the Golden Hawks come alive when defenseman, Logan Fonger would skate end to end and bank himself a beauty. He would follow it up four minutes later with another. Now that the team was awake other teammates got in on the goal action. Goals from Elijah MacDonald, Cam Slone, Riley Kavanagh and Goulah. Hawks win with a score of 7 to 2. Nico Toussaint earned the win in net and assists came from Malachi Hoornweg, Brooks, Hunter Bradbury, MacDonald and Goulah.
The team would end their three game weekend with another win against Ajax/Pickering Raiders in a home game on Sunday.  The Hawks wouldn't make a repeat of the game Saturday. They came out and scored in the first shift of the game. Cohen Heales would receive the perfect pass from Andrew Gilson, from Kale Tawse. Shortly afterwards Keegan Goulah would snipe a pass from the opposing team and earn himself a shorthanded goal. He would follow it up with another the same period with a pass from Malcolm Brooks. Riley Kavanagh would add one to the tally from Goulah and Brooks before the first was over.
Second period Cam Slone would make the near impossible angled shot from the goal line, bar down at that.
In the third, Kavanagh and Brooks would both score leading the team to a 7 to 1 victory. Assisting on the Kavanagh goal was Brooks and Hoornweg.  Toussaint gets the win in net.
