Quinte West U11AA Hawks are bringing home 2 wins and a loss after a busy weekend of hockey.
Hawks opened their weekend with a game in Peterborough on Friday night but luck was not on their side. Unfortunately, they were not able to get the results they were hoping for and took a 6-0 loss against Peterborough.
Saturday saw the Hawks hosting Oshawa on home ice. Some hard fought battles, determination and team play helped them to secure a win with a final score of 3-2. Goals were scored by Ben Villeneuve, Kohen Couperus and Noah Carré-Stewart. Assists went to Alex Dolton (2) and Noah Carré-Stewart. Bryce Lawrence held strong in net for the win.
On Sunday the Hawks welcomed Northumberland Nighthawks on home ice for their third game of the weekend. The Hawks were able to work hard and secure their second win of the weekend. The final score of the game was 10-2. Hawks goals were scored by Noah Carré-Stewart (3), Griffin Van Gemeren (2), Josh Korver (2), Brody Bucholtz, Alex Dolton and Kohen Couperus. Assists came from Alex Dolton (3) and Kohen Couperus (2). Preston Martin is took home the win in net.
Hawks next game is on home ice this Saturday at 3:45pm where they will host Clarington Toros.
