Quinte West U11AA Golden Hawks brought home another win after a long break between games. On Sunday December 11, the Hawks traveled through the snowy weather to Uxbridge for a game versus the North Durham Warriors.
Hawks took a 2-0 lead in the first period with goals from Alex Dolton and Nikolai Caron. Assists came from Josh Korver and Brody Bucholtz.
The second period was definitely tense as goals were scored back and forth for both teams. Goals for the Hawks were scored by Griffin Van Gemeren and Noah Carre- Stewart. Assists were made by Ben Villeneuve, Noah Trice and Alex Dolton. At the end of the second period the score was left tied at 4-4.
As both teams entered the final period of the game, they were both hungry for the win. Hawks fought hard and came out on top with a 7-6 final score win! Goals in the third period were scored by Noah Carre-Stewart, Roy Finch and Karson Hamilton. Assists were made by Nickolai Caron(2) and Noah Carre-Stewart. Preston Martin held strong in the net for the Hawks.
