The U11AA Hawks opened the weekend on Friday in Oshawa with a win. They came out strong and played hard as a team securing a 6-1 win. Bryce Lawrence held strong in net. Goals were scored by Ben Villeneuve (2), Alex Dolton, Kohen Couperus, Nate Wain and Karson Hamilton. Assists to the goals were from Griffin Van Gemeren (3), Josh Korver, and Ben Villeneuve.
After a day off in between, Hawks traveled to Clarington on Sunday for a challenging game versus the Toros. It was a tough 5-1 loss but Preston Martin’s quick moves and glove saves kept the team in the game.
The lone goal was scored by Noah Carré-Stewart.
The Hawks will rest for a few days before they head into another busy weekend with two games.
